I wake up whenever our two-and-a-half year old marches into our room and starts telling us about her dream from the night before, usually between 7:00 and 8:00 am.
We just saw “Big Hero 6″ in the theater, but movies are constantly on in the background as I’m sewing. I’m quickly burning through the Netflix list, so probably something like “Turner and Hooch” or “Cold Mountain.” You know, anything from the ‘Goofy Pet Misadventures and Civil War Heartbreakers’ genre.
I divide my time between being at home with the kiddo, working part time at Signs and Shapes International (the inflatable mascot company), and sewing my own PlaiderPillar stuff. If varies greatly depending on the urgency of those three. What works well is for my patient husband to keep the kiddo busy while I go on a two-to-three all-day/late night sewing jag.
I meet Amy years ago at Dundee Day, her work amazed me then and it continues to blow my mind today. I am very honored that Amy is a part of Craftacular!! Mark your calendar to come see Amy’s work in person, it’s amazing! Craftacular is on Wednesday Dec. 3rd from 4-9 at the Cornhusker Hotel. Admission is free. We have bands lined up to play all night and of course the cash bar will be open.
